IRISCC Deliverable D6.7 details the successful implementation of an interoperable Gateway connecting the IS-ENES Virtual Research Environment (VRE) and the central IRISCC VRE Gateway built on the D4Science platform. The Gateway enables seamless data flow and processing between these two critical infrastructures, allowing researchers to efficiently access, process, and analyse large climate model datasets. By integrating the specialized capabilities of IS-ENES VRE for climate model data processing with the collaborative features of the IRISCC VRE, this Gateway significantly enhances research workflows for climate change risk analysis.
The report details the technical implementation, authentication mechanisms, provenance management approaches, data access, and data transfer services that underpin this integration. This interoperability framework provides crucial support for the demonstrators developed under WP4, facilitating cross-Research Infrastructure service provision while adhering to FAIR principles.
