IRISCC Catalogue of Services

Launching on April 1st 2025

The IRISCC Catalogue of Services brings together innovative research infrastructure (RI) services across Europe to support research on climate change-related risks. The Catalogue aims to improve collaboration, streamline access to state-of-the-art research infrastructures, and foster interdisciplinary research that is essential to addressing the complex challenges posed by climate change.

The Catalogue is a collection of services focusing on climate change-driven risks and their determinants – hazards, exposure and vulnerabilities. The first release services target researchers; future releases will extend beyond academia to also serve policymakers and industry professionals.

The Catalogue of Services will provide

Comprehensive coverage

Experimental facilities, observational platforms, datasets, modelling tools, data infrastructures and domain-specific expertise.

Wide range of expertise

Natural hazards, indirect hazards, marine and terrestrial ecosystems, human health and socio-economic impacts.

Diverse access options

Transnational (on-site, remote, hybrid) and virtual access, ensuring broad opportunities for projects selected through the open calls

IRISCC Catalogue will expand with new services, each designed to meet evolving user needs.

April 2025

First set of services focusing on individual risk determinants—hazard, exposure, and vulnerability.

September 2026

Integrated and customised services, co-developed through demonstrators and harmonisation efforts, to tackle multi-hazard risks.

March 2028

Advanced knowledge services co-designed with stakeholders, supporting evidence-based decision-making and societal mitigation actions.

Access to the IRISCC services will be granted through Calls for Access.

Access to services is applied through a series of transnational (physical, remote or hybrid) or virtual access calls. Access is applied through an application platform when the call is opened.

Open calls will support high-impact research addressing key topics such as ecosystem resilience, climate-driven health risks, water management, and food systems.

Advanced Modelling Tools: Resources for simulating multi-hazard scenarios.

Integrated Data Services: Access to multi- and transdisciplinary datasets and analytics.

IRISCC will provide training to empower users to effectively utilise the open calls and associated services.
